Gather your War Boys, roll out your Tank (Girl), and set sail for Dryland this Thanksgiving weekend with Water & Power: A Night Carnival of Climate Apocalypse !
Shake off your turkey induced lethargy and slake your hunger for performance, power, and resources in this final installment of our 2026 Night Carnival season, Art At The End Of The World . Bringing performances from climate apocalypse fiction, pop culture, and speculative realities to life in a four hour costume party and cabaret event of catastrophic proportions.

Featuring performances from some of Portland’s best circus, dance, cabaret, and performance artists with acts ranging from Tank Girl inspired aerial to contemplations on our relationship with nature told in fabric and light, get ready to confront climate collapse…but “make it fun.”
Come dressed as your favorite climate apocalypse character, pop-culture reference, or concept and enjoy original cocktails from The Steep and Thorny Way to Heaven mixologists Myrrh Larsen and Megan Skye Hale, wasteland wares from our featured local vendor, and performances throughout the night.
The Night Carnival 2026 season is funded in part by the Regional Arts & Culture Council and the Arts Access Fund.

Glow Job 2027: Glow Hard or Glow Home (Night 1)
Those that know, glow. Bathe yourself in ultraviolet glory! The world's best black light party returns to Star Theater FOR TWO NIGHTS.
We will have different DJs & performers each night.
This event has sold out for more than a decade. Do not wait on getting tix.
Prepare for thousands of watts of black light and some of the best costumes ever, anywhere.
Djs announced in a painfully slow manner on social media.
9:00pm // Ages 21+ // General Admission // 2 night passes available
Event Info:
DO I HAVE TO GLOW? Yep. Tickets will not guarantee entry without costume.
WHY DO YOU NEED TO GLOW? While some LED blacklights put out a visible light, most ultraviolet light is invisible until it reflects off a black-light reactive surface. You become the light source.
COSTUME HELP: Experienced glowers will shop with a black light flashlight in hand. Sometimes neon cottons wont reflect while other materials will pop. Another option is to get body painted. Please check the discussion thread as we will be updating with cool looks from past events to inspire you.
This event is LGBTQ+ and 21+.
