Evergreen doesn’t mean identical! Hoyt Arbroetum’s renowned conifer collection makes it the perfect classroom for learning to tell our Northwest conifers apart – by needle, cone, bark, and habit – with stories of the redwoods, cedars, and true firs along the way. This program will be outdoors rain or shine. Plan for a moderate walk on maintained, dirt trails.

  • Class size is limited and pre-registration is required
  • Registration closes Saturday, December 5th at 4:00pm
  • Additional details will be emailed one week prior to the program

About the Instructor: Ruth Williams is a consulting arborist and plant enthusiast with degrees in Horticulture and Landscape Architecture from UC Davis. Working as a local consulting arborist, she helps preserve trees for future generations. She teaches and guides interpretive hikes on a wide variety of ecological subjects.
