Taste for Equity: Cultivate

The Nines, A Luxury Collection Hotel525 Southwest Morrison Street

Join an evening where chefs, winemakers, and farmers come together to share the harvest — an evening of food, land, and community unfolding beneath an open sky. Guests will rotate in small groups to taste a dish and wine pairing developed by three chefs and three winemakers from the roster of TASTE's past partners in three different settings around the estate. Then, come together for dessert and celebration during the golden hour program, culminating with dancing under the stars.

Supporting Adelante Mujeres means investing in the Latine community to cultivate opportunity, leadership, and resilience — strengthening the roots that help communities rise together. In addition to Adelante Mujeres, proceeds from this year's TASTE for Equity Event Series also benefit two additional powerful Portland organizations: APANO, uniting Asian and Pacific Islanders to build power and advance equity, and ELSO Inc., cultivating generations of innovators and problem solvers for local and global impact.

Party bus transportation from a central location in Portland will be offered to all guests for an additional cost at the time of checkout when you purchase your ticket. Please join and extend the evening of fun, and make sure you get home safely.

Seats are limited, and this event will sell out. If you’ve been to a TASTE event before, you know. If this is your first time — welcome. This table was made for you. Tickets are 75-$250 on a sliding scale. Lower-priced tickets are reserved for those working in the F&B service industry.

🥣 Souper Sunday

On the second Sunday of most months, we offer two different soups as part of our Social Hour, including at least one gluten-free option and at least one vegetarian option. To learn what type of soups will be offered at the next Souper Sunday, subscribe to our Front Steps e-newsletter.

If you are able, the suggested cost for the soup is $5 to help us cover the cost of ingredients.

Please supplement the offering by bringing the following to share:

  • Breads
  • Treats
  • Snacks/sides
  • Kid-friendly prepackaged drinks

Spoons and cups for soup will be provided. Please consider bringing your own containers and utensils to be more environmentally friendly.

It takes a lot of folks to put on Souper Sunday every month: organizers, cooks, servers, shoppers and clean up team to name a few. We are appreciative of all who volunteer. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Barbara M.
