HAZL

HAZL’s music lives in the in-between: folk and pop, intimate and cinematic. Her performances are communal. She might crack a joke mid-ballad or hand you a piece of her heart after a final chord. You might walk into a HAZL show carrying something heavy, and realize that somehow, by the end, an entire room is holding it with you. There’s something tender and unguarded in the way HAZL crafts songs, like she’s speaking to the part of you that you don’t show to strangers. The part that might feel like too much and not enough. But she’s not a sad song machine. She’s funny. Warm. Like hug you didn’t know you needed.

Marin and Rare Company is brought to you by singer/songwriter Marin Seven. Inspired by bluegrass, folk, and jazz. Marin creates a one of a kind energy and sound with just one small guitar and one big voice.

Brendan Cope

Brendan Cope: Brendan Cope is a Portland based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer. An artist embedded in the idea of inspiring other artists, he makes music that is both familiar and impossible to place. Using unorthodox means to bring his works to a live audience that present people with the question of where “that sound” came from. Red Meadow: Red Meadow is the solo project of Portland based multi-instrumentalist Addison Clark. His evocative and image heavy lyricism take the lead. Clark weaves intricate landscapes and zooms in portraits of flora and fauna along with deeply personal portraits of the relationships, memories and characters who populate them. Amie: A multi talented artist, Amie’s clear connection to the essence of creating is palpable. Her music provides a different look into the world that is so often seen through the lens of photography. Forró Beleza

This will be a special night for all dance lovers!

Come at 8PM and get a Forró Dance class!

Josephina Del Norte: The Argentinian DJ, singer and multi-instrumentalist Josefina Del Norte will start the night playing a mix of Latin American Cumbia and Forró music from Brazil.

Forró Beleza: Led by Pyata Penedo, a Brazilian lead singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and owner of Figure 8 Sound Recording Studio, the band performs a variety of music from Northeastern Brazil known as forró.

Forró is a lively Brazilian music and partner-dance tradition rooted in Northeastern Brazil, where it developed through community gatherings centered around music, dancing, and social connection. Popularized nationally by legendary artists such as Luiz Gonzaga, its distinctive sound is traditionally created by the accordion, zabumba drum, and triangle, producing rhythms that feel both grounded and flowing.

The dance brings people together through a warm embrace, shared movement, playful turns, and a close connection to the music. Although it may remind newcomers of the intimacy of tango, the energy of salsa, or the grounded feeling of blues, forró has a joyful and welcoming character entirely its own.

More than simply a style of music or dance, forró is a celebration of Brazilian culture and community—and the best way to understand it is to come experience it for yourself!

Sabrina Saed & Your Jack

Sabrina Saed is a spell-weaver. Behind the microphone, the Seattle-based singer-songwriter spins tender acoustic guitar and wounded vocals together and sends them into the air, where they stick to your ears like gossamer.

Your Jack performances have been described as “like watching Saturday morning cartoons.” There is a casual comfort to the experience, the kind of comfort longed for when Tuesday traffic distracts you from easy breaths. Raised in bluegrass, the music has a gentle pierce. Infatuated with hip-hop, the words are intentional. Scared of himself, the presence grows braver with every note.

Kevin Watson Band

Kevin Watson is an Oregon singer-songwriter whose work blends the rugged Americana spirit of the Pacific Northwest with the timeless story telling of classic folk. Drawing inspiration from artists like Sturgill Simpson, Townes Van Zant, and Gillian Welch, Watson is also heavily influenced by late ‘60s and early 70’s rock. His songwriting hints at the people and places that shaped him along his unique journey – from professional athlete to independent recording artist, and everything in between. Along the way he developed a style that stretches from bluesy/country rock to folky fingerpicking. Whether backed by his full band or performing solo, Watson’s music delivers a sound that feels raw, weathered, and unshakably honest. His 2025 debut album ‘troubadour’ along with his most recent follow up singles ‘Ain’t Got Time’, released June 12th, and ‘Gone Again’, released September 4th, 2026, continue to showcase an artist committed to honest songwriting, memorable melodies, and music built to endure.

Americana singer-songwriter and guitarist Travis Magrane’s music ripples with observations, reflections, laments, and odes exploring the paradoxical interplay between head and heart, city and wilderness, solitude and union, and truth and fiction. Over the past 25 years, he has performed at venues such as The Crystal Ballroom, Mississippi Studios, Grand Lodge, Doug Fir, Laurelthirst Public House, Secret Society, PDX Pop Now, and Seattle FolkLife.

Why not just do exactly one show this year in Portland with the original script and the original edit? It has been many years since that has been attempted. So many lines have gone unspoken… so many scenes have gone un… seen… It is both the laziest and hardest thing that Professor Brett Niley could possibly perpetrate upon you: 2.5 hours of uncut Wizard People.
