ISAIAH SHARKEY
Isaiah Sharkey stands at the confluence of modern soul, jazz, R&B, and Black American guitar tradition, carrying forward a lineage that links George Benson, Curtis Mayfield, Wes Montgomery, and Jimi Hendrix while forging a vocabulary entirely his own. A Grammy Awardâwinning guitarist, vocalist, composer, and producer, Sharkey has become one of the most respected musicians of his generationâcelebrated for his sophisticated harmonic sensibility, unmistakable tone, and ability to shape-shift effortlessly between musical worlds.
Born and raised on Chicagoâs North Side in a deeply musical family, Sharkey was immersed from childhood in gospel, jazz, and classic R&B. His father, a working musician, recognized early his sonâs extraordinary ear and feel, guiding him through professional-level repertoire before most children his age would form basic chords. By the time he was 14, Sharkey was touring nationally; by his late teens, he had already become a first-call session player in Chicagoâs tight-knit recording community.

Step Into GVA!!!! - Genevieve Artadi's New Anime-Inspired Record
Teleport into Genevieve Artadi's supersonic universe with her new
anime-inspired record, GVA!!!!!
Channeled by the kinetic energy of her anime favorites from Naruto, Bleach, Initial D, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Jojoâs Bizarre Adventures, Rurouni Kenshin and Attack on Titan â Artadi's fifth album âis my dedication to animeâ.
Speaking on the album's inspiration, Artadi describes, âThe inspiration I felt was like being turned inside out, like some dormant dreams could awaken in a really fun and creative way. It was great to feel driven like this instead of getting pulverized by the worldâs increasing grayness. Of course this would come out in my music and in a twisted kind of way.â
The album continues her signature fusion of experimental jazz with indie punk, dream pop, alt-electronic, cinematic ballads, and lush harmonic writing, but it is Genevieve's voice and arrangements that crystallizes her beautiful expression into a future-sonic world that is truly her own. GVA!!!! is brought to life with her collaborators: Louis Cole, Pedro Martins, Justin Brown, Daryl Johns, Sam Wilkes, Chiquita Magic, Chris Fishman, and Miku Nakamura (of Cö shu Nie). GVA!!!!! "is an energetic, rocking, colorful record through which I hope to bring a sense of ignition to peopleâs souls who hear it", explains Artadi.
Out on all platforms this October 30, follow the release with her anime-inspired retro music videos and live tour dates with Louis Cole and Chiquita Magic.
JOSĂ JAMES SINGS SINATRA
José James Sings Sinatra
The celebrated jazz vocalist explores the legacy of one of the greatest American voices of all time.
For internationally renowned jazz singer JosĂ© James, this project is fate. In 2016, James was called by Universal Pictures to perform Sinatra's version of "I've Got You Under My Skin" for the blockbuster film 50 Shades Darker. Jamesâa devoted student of Sinatraâaccepted the role and soon found himself in the hallowed halls of Capitol's Studio B, behind the very microphone Sinatra used to record his most celebrated catalog for Capitol Records.
"It was a huge honor and a surprise," remembers James. "There was a moment where engineer Al Schmitt brought out the famous Neumann U47, including the wooden box it lives in. On that box, written in black Sharpie in all caps, was just one wordâFRANK. Sinatra was letting everyone know that this was his house and anyone who dared to scale the heights of his mountaintop had better be prepared."
James rose to the challenge, performing that song onscreen in the film and recording another Sinatra classic, "They Can't Take That Away From Me," for the official movie soundtrack. Following that release, James has been in high demand, performing at the Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival for both a Frank Sinatra tribute with the Count Basie Orchestra as well as with the Christian McBride Big Band. He also performed with Laura Mvula alongside the Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth Symphony Orchestras, and has been a featured performer with the Jazz at Lincoln Center, Royal Concertgebouw, and Metropole Orchestras.
In September 2026, James will release his 14th studio album The Best Is Yet to Come, a groundbreaking reexamination of one of America's greatest voices from the most exciting male jazz singer of the moment. For James, this project is a reclamationâboth live and on recordâof Sinatra's brilliance as a jazz singer, a rhythmic improviser from the schools of Billie Holiday and Tommy Dorsey. With big band arrangements by the legendary John Clayton, this is no mere nostalgia trip, but a deeper look into the craft and mastery of the Chairman of the Board.
